oh heyyy there!

I'm shelby- & here's a little about me.

My life is busy with a side of chaos, but wouldn't change it for anything. I live in the small town of Elysian with my husband, Matt and our 2 yr old wild-child, Mavrik. He keeps us on the go to say the least... he's nonstop but we love it. We also have 2 dogs; a Maltese, Marley and Chocolate lab, Wren and 2 cats; Lucy and a MaineCoon, Estelle. Fun fact-- in high-school I was CONVINCED I was going to be a rapper one day, my poor friends were unfortunately victim to witnessing my "skills" anytime they got in my car. Clearly my rap career never took off and here I am in a town of 600 taking pretty pictures. I'm a wayyyyyy better photographer than I was a "rapper" if you can even call it that🤦🏻‍♀️ Now, I'm a travel addict with hopes to see the as much of the world as I can and the strong desire to experience life outside of Minnesota.--even if it's just for a couple hours. My guilty pleasure is terrible reality tv/dating shows, mindlessly scrolling tiktok before bed and looking for new, unique and even sometimes "trending" inspo for sessions or ways to be creative! Unfortunately for me, I have VERY high expectations for myself when it comes to DIY Pinterest projects, especially the ones that are wayyyyy outside my level of "expertise". But I am pretty creative on my own and love to host/decorate an event or party whenever I get the chance! I have an unhealthy obsession with planning all the things... showers, weddings & parties etc. down to the VERY LAST DETAIL. Outside of being a wife, mom and photographer... I like to spend my time working on my newest business venture or ideas, organize and decorate, sipping a good icy marg with some chips & queso followed by a scary movie marathon and sleepover with my bestie along with our kiddos, hanging with my mom friends, family and other close friends, going to concerts and dreaming up my next trip. Summer days with the windows down, cleaning and music cranked is my jam and my fav form of therapy. Don't expect to listen to a full song when you're with me though, I need to listen to ALL the songs immediately so the proper amount of jammin' is had in the time given... classic rock, 90's, hip-hop, country, pop hits... you name it, I LOVE it!
